项目摘要

考古班1(ヨルダン、サウジアラビア内陸乾燥域担当)は、ヨルダン南部、タラアト・ウバイダ遺跡の踏査を2022年8-10月に実施し、遊牧部族の形成過程期に発展した羊毛刈り用の大型石器の素材であるフリント採掘遺跡の来季以降の発掘に向けた準備を進めた。サウジアラビア北西部のワディ・グバイ遺跡ならびにサフワーン遺跡等の発掘調査を2022年5-7月と同11-12月に実施し、遊牧部族の形成過程を葬制面から捕捉するための基礎的データを更に追加した。新たにサウジアラビアでの部族社会の成立背景と起源を明らかにするために、先土器新石器時代B期初頭のマシユーン遺跡の調査を2022年12月と2023年3月に実施した。考古班2(アラビア湾岸域担当)は、2023年1-2月にバーレーン北部のワーディー・アッ=サイル古墳群の発掘調査を実施し、墓の型式学的分析から、部族社会形成期の遊牧民の家族構成についての知見を得た。考古班3(紅海沿岸域担当)は、2022年8月にサウジアラビア、紅海東岸のハウラー遺跡の遺物整理調査、2023年2-3月に同遺跡の発掘調査を実施し、イスラーム初期の港町跡の構造や物質文化についての詳細な記録を作成した。その他、2021年12月ならびに2022年2-3月に碑文遺跡の現地調査を実施し、グラフィティとペトログリフの記録を作成した。ヨルダンの遺跡出土動物骨の分析を継続し、遊牧化初期段階における動物利用の基礎データを引き続き整備した。また、2021年度にワディ・グバイ遺跡から出土した人骨を国内に輸送し、部族形成期における遊牧民の形質人類学的基礎データを実見して整理・分析した。同位体分析分野では出土人骨の歯エナメル質の炭素・酸素同位体分析を継続し、基礎データを整備した。社会学・文化人類学分野ではエジプト西部砂漠における「聖性外来の論理」に焦点を当て聖者の末裔部族に関する研究を取りまとめた。

Isotope analysis of carbon and acid isotopes in human bones is a basic tool for the preparation of radioisotopes. Sociology and cultural anthropology are the focus of the study of the last tribe of saints.
