项目摘要

2022年4月から9月末日までの間は、「新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響に伴う採用中断」の特例措置により延長した期間であった。この半年間での主な研究の目的は、以下の二つである。（1）安全性を十分に確認した上で、当初の計画に含まれていた在外研究を実施すること、（2）初年度から昨年度までに行った口頭での研究発表を論文へと仕上げることである。第一点目について、本年度7月中旬から8月中旬までの約一ヶ月間、フランスにて文献調査を中心とする研究に従事した。当初の計画と比べ、短期間での研究となったが、研究対象の関連領域の文献を、フランス語圏のものを中心に、他の言語の出版物も一度に閲覧する機会に恵まれた。また、デジタル化されていない現地の博士論文を閲覧することもできたため、貴重な機会であった。第二点目については、現段階までの研究の進捗状況を以下に略述する。本年度、中心的に取り組んだ課題は、ライプニッツ初期のアカデミー構想の分析である。2021年5月の口頭発表（「ライプニッツにおける「進歩」について：技術・学問・幸福の関係を手がかりに」、日本哲学会）では、主に、アカデミーでの自然学者の役割に焦点を絞って考察を行った。ライプニッツの構想には、「神の名誉を讃え、隣人へ奉仕する」という動機が貫かれており、彼の法学論に見られる倫理学・道徳との内的関係が垣間見える。しかし、前述の発表では、それを示す段階には至らなかった。ライプニッツは、「実践を伴う理論」を標榜し、自然学を現実に役立てることを念頭に置いていた。ここで言う「実践」とは、技術上の発展だけでなく、倫理的・道徳的意味も含む点を、2022年度中に論文としてまとめ上げ、2023年度内での刊行を準備中である。
