幼児の自己認知発達における視覚触覚情報の機能の解明

项目摘要

乳幼児期における自己認知のベンチマークとなっている自己鏡映像認知課題において、乳幼児が自己に関するどの感覚情報を手がかりに自己を認識しているかについては不明な部分が多い。そこで、本研究では、自己顔の視覚情報と自己顔への触覚刺激を操作することで、自己顔に関わる視覚触覚情報が幼児期の自己認知及び社会的認知に与える影響を検討することを目的とした。当該年度では、幼児期の自己顔の視覚情報の処理と自己鏡映像認知課題の関係を検討した。生後24ヶ月児を対象に、自己鏡映像認知課題を通過する幼児の自己顔への視線パタンが、他者の顔の顔処理と比べて特異的かを検討した。具体的な手続きとして、参加児の自己顔、他の幼児の顔、母親顔、見知らぬ女性顔を顔刺激として用いた。各試行では、各顔刺激への視線運動のデータを視線計測器で収集した。その後、自己鏡映像認知課題を実施した。これまで自己鏡映像認知課題を用いた知見では、課題通過の有無やその月齢に焦点が当てられており自己認知の獲得における特定の感覚情報の役割に関する理解は限定的であった。当該研究の遂行により、本研究課題が主眼を置く「幼児期の自己認知において、自己に関わる各感覚情報がどのように寄与するか」という問いに対して、自己顔の視覚情報の役割を明らかにすることが期待される。新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響により研究実施に遅れが生じたが、データ取得を終え、現在論文投稿に向けて結果を取りまとめている。また、本年度は自己顔認知の発達過程を見据える上で本研究課題と関連する合成顔を用いた乳児期における自己顔知覚に関する研究成果が国際専門誌であるInfant Behavior and Development誌に掲載された。
