项目摘要

バウハウスを造形精神の原点として、「ハプティック・ヴィジュアル」（触覚・視覚）という概念を中心に、メイカームーブメント後の構成学の刷新を試みる目的において、触覚と資格の統合を意図し、レーザー加工機や3Dプリンターなどのデジタル工作機械を使った制作者、すなわち「メイカー」としての実践例をまとめた。メイカーとしての多様な制作実践として、1. 手工芸としての「糸かけ曼荼羅」からデジタルの糸かけ曼荼羅シミュレーション、そして、簡易的に糸かけ曼荼羅を制作できる「糸かけ曼荼羅ボード」の開発と応用について、2. タータン風チェック柄のシミュレーションからポリエステルフェルト地の表面へのレーザー彫刻による応用、3. その他、アクリル板のiPad用制作台、MDF素材の鍋敷き、3Dプリンターを使ったオリジナルキャラクターの花生け、ハプティック・ヴィジュアルをテーマとするメビウスの輪などを紹介した。さらに「ボロノイ分割」を活用した基礎造形の事例として、三次元でパラメトリックな造形としてデジタル作品を試作した事例とともに、ハプティック・ヴィジュアルを意図したボロノイ分割の平面構成やレーザー加工機を用いた作品化についても紹介した。これらの実践的な成果物は、岩手県の「いわてメイカー展」において展示した。継続して考察の対象としてきた近代バウハウスにおいては、芸術家やデザイナーを養成する基礎訓練に「触覚」に関する訓練も付加されていた。すなわち、近代デザインの基礎を築いたドイツの造形芸術学校バウハウスにおける基礎教育においても「触覚と視覚」に関わる基礎造形的な課題は実施されていたといえる。このことについての詳細は、最終年度の成果としてまとめる予定であるため、まずは実践的課題のほうの整理を優先した。
