本年度において、コロナ感染症の影響で日本国内外の史料の利用が依然厳しく制限されていたなか、主に以下の三つの方向で本件研究を進めていた。（1）冷戦期日本の国連外交に関する著書の執筆を続行していた。限定利用（一日4時間、6名限度）が許されていた外務省外交史料館における史料調査を努めて継続的に行いつつ、主に1960年代から80年代にかけての日本と国連との関係に関する各章の仕上げに力を入れていた。その結果、計四章分を完成し、これで本書の全体像を確立することができた。更に、1980年代以降の国連外交に関する史料調査も行っており、凡そ120冊の外務省開示文書を閲覧し、大量のデータを収集できた。本年3月までに、それらの史料の整理と解読が一段落つき、それに基づいてこの時期の国連外交に関する著書の内容を更に充実化させたと同時に、ジャーナル論文も書き上げており、目下投稿中である。（2）政治や安全保障以外の国連関係機構と日本との関係に関する研究の準備に着手し、外交史料館における史料調査を開始した。その成果を踏まえ、次年度より執筆を始める論文（または著書）の構想を練り始めている。（3）日本以外の東アジア諸国と国連との関係について、本年度、海外における史料調査はコロナ感染症の影響で中断しているままであったが、以前、途中まで進んでいた調査で入手した史料の整理と解読作業を継続的に行っていた。その結果、今後、論文もしくは単著として執筆可能な題目候補を複数析出しており、次年度から再開する予定である海外での調査の方向性を定めることができた。

This year, the use of historical materials in Japan and abroad is still limited, and the following three directions are being studied. (1) Cold period of Japan's national even diplomatic relations related to the writing of books and conduct. Limited use (4 hours a day, 6 people limit) is allowed. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Diplomatic Historical Materials Museum has devoted all its efforts to the investigation of historical materials, mainly from the 1960s to the 1980s, and has devoted all its efforts to the relationship between Japan and the United Nations. The result is that the four chapters of the book are completed and the whole book is established. In addition, since the 1980s, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has published 120 volumes of documents related to foreign affairs, and a large number of documents have been collected. In March of this year, the contents of the book related to the diplomatic work of the State Council of the People's Republic of China were fully updated. At the same time, the contents of the book were revised. (2) Preparations for the study of relations between Japan and other international organizations other than political and security guarantees, and the investigation of historical materials for the Foreign Affairs Museum began. The results of the study are as follows: the first year of writing, the second year of writing, the first year of writing, the third year of writing, and the fourth year of writing. (3) The relationship between the countries outside Japan and the United States has been interrupted. This year, overseas historical data survey has been interrupted. Before, on the way, the investigation has been carried out. The historical data has been sorted out and analyzed. The results of the study, the future of the study, and the future of the study are discussed in detail.
