事業期間４年目である本年度は，次の３つの調査研究を遂行した．第１に，主にCovid-19の流行の影響により実現できていなかった実地調査を再開し，研究対象としている６つの産業地域における1950年代後半からの制度的文脈の形成・変容の過程に関する分析用データベースを更新した．過年度までに収集・整理した二次資料の内容について，現地でのヒアリング結果および新たに収集した一次資料と照合することでデータベースの信頼性と完備性の向上を図った．第２に，比較対象となる複数の事例に関して記述的な研究を継続し，ワーキングペーパーの執筆を進めた．分析用データベースの更新作業とともに，木製インテリア製造業に従事する国内２つの産業地域，眼鏡枠製造業に従事する国内外の産業地域に関する記述的な研究をほぼ終えることができ，部分的な研究成果をワーキングペーパーとしてまとめた．現場調査を再開させた木製インテリア製造業に従事する海外の産業地域に関しては，実地でのヒアリング調査と資料収集の進展に沿ってデータセットの完備性を高め，ひきつづき記述的な研究を推進している．第３に，国内外の産業地域における制度的文脈の形成・変容過程に関する比較研究に着手し，本研究全体を支える概念枠を修正した．事例研究の進展にともない，それぞれの産業地域が経験してきた過去を要約するコンセプトやモデルの開発と実践が制度的文脈の形成・変容過程に与える影響を析出することができた．同成果を本研究事業における概念枠の洗練につなげた．
