2022年度は、コロナ禍および体調に起因する問題から、年度目標の60%程度の進捗となった。具体的には、レビューとテキスト分析はほぼ終えたものの、学会発表や論文投稿は完了しなかった。学会発表等は、研究期間を2023年度へ1年間延長し、そこで実施する予定である。2021年度は、イノベーション創出プロセスにおいて、幸運や偶然と解釈される「セレンディピティ」に係るレビューを実施した。当初の予想通り、経営学領域における体系的理論的研究は少なかった。国内外で数本程度のレビュー論文は存在するものの、それらが扱うセレンディピティの中心は研究開発・製品開発などビジネスの上流に集中しており、しかも、個人のひらめきに重点を置くという特徴がある。本研究のように、ビジネスプロセス全般に注目する研究が少ないと明らかになったこと有意義な発見であった。レビュー論文は、2023年度前半に投稿予定である。研究開始当初はテキスト分析＋ケーススタディの融合を目指していたが、コロナ禍のためにケーススタディを当初計画通りに実施することは困難となったため、2022年度はテキスト分析対象のテキストを倍近くに増やした。学術研究のみならず、ビジネス誌のケースにも対象を広げたことで、やはり様々な形で「セレンディピティ」がビジネスに関わっていることが明らかにになった。この増加したテキスト分析については、2023年度に学会発表と論文投稿を目指す予定である。
