本研究は、協同組合を中心とする非営利組織間の事業パートナーシップが新たな社会課題・地域課題を解決するに資する視点を歴史的パースペクティブの下で検討するものである。当初の研究計画は、日本国内の戦前戦後を通した協同組合運動史に力点を置くものであったが、この間の研究推進により、主軸を「社会的連帯経済」という新しい潮流に求める方向へと変化してきている。本研究の軸となる社会的連帯経済の視座は、国際的な非営利セクターの動向を大きく協同組合を典型とする社会的経済と、より小規模でインフォーマルな特徴をもつ連帯経済とに区分し、市場融和的かつ公式組織性の強い前者と非市場的／市場対抗的かつ小規模・非公式性の強い後者との連携を模索するものである。連帯経済の特徴とされる地域における小規模かつ自律的経済圏という構想は、わが国の歴史的系譜において、（市街地購買組合など）大正期以降に生まれた新しい協同組合組織に源流を辿れる。「事業と運動が両輪である」と自称する協同組合では、経済事業としての安定性や市場での生存可能性というリアルな認識と社会変革を希求する運動性（理想）とのバランスの下、時代によってその姿を変貌させてきた。特に、戦後の生協運動は、消費者運動との連携の下でつねに市民社会の担い手であり続けながら、単位協同組合ベースでも組合員総数や事業規模を拡大させてきている。こうした歴史的経緯ゆえ、生協組織は、経済事業と組合員活動が「統合された目的」の下、いかに機能し得るかを試金石とする。本研究を推進するなかで明らかになってきたのは、現在のわが国における協同組合の抱える課題と国際的な「社会的連帯経済」の潮流とが明白に問題関心を共有している点であり、この間の国内事例調査や海外との研究交流を通じ、今後の協同組合の転換を意識した政策的インプリケーションを具体的・実践的に備えた最終成果の提出に向けて研究を進捗させている。

This study focuses on the development of new social issues and regional issues from the perspective of collaborative organization. The original research plan is to establish a new direction for the development of the social network in Japan. The axis of this study is the relationship between social networks and the trends of international non-profit organizations. The relationship between social networks and the characteristics of small-scale non-profit organizations is characterized by the relationship between social networks and market integration. The relationship between non-market organizations and market-oriented organizations is characterized by the relationship between small-scale non-profit organizations and the characteristics of small-scale non-profit organizations. In the course of this history, the Association for Health Affairs serves as a touchstone for the realization of its functions under the "integrated purpose" of economic business and membership activities. This study advances the research on the topic of "social integration" and international trends in "social integration", and makes it clear that there are common points of concern for domestic case studies and overseas research exchanges. In the future, the coordination and combination of policy proposals, concrete implementation, preparation and final results will be further studied.
