本研究は、1）台湾学生の受け入れによる本学での国際交流と2）本学学生や教員が台湾を訪問しての国際交流を行うことで、本学の学生や教員の国際交流に関する意識や意欲、学修姿勢がどのように変わり、また上記1）と2）という交流方法の違いが、国際交流への意識や意欲への影響や有用性に違いがあるのかを比較分析を行うことで、国際交流の有用なあり方を検討するものである。２０２２年度においては、新型コロナ感染症も落ち着き始め、年度末に近い時期である１月～２月にかけて、台湾学生の短期留学の受け入れを実施（再開）し、本学での国際交流を実施することができた。その際に、受け入れを行った本学の学生に対して、国際交流に関するアンケート調査を実施することができた。また、本学へ短期留学してきた台湾学生においても同様にアンケート調査を実施することができた。こうした国際交流では、活動内容や交流内容もコロナ感染症以前よりも制限下での実施であり、十分な交流活動を行うまでには至らず、アンケート調査においてもその影響が現れる可能性が考えられる。現在、受け入れ交流を行った本学学生及び来学した台湾学生からのアンケート調査の集計や分析を行っている段階である。また、２０２２年度末近くの３月中旬に、本学学生及び教員による台湾へ訪問し交流活動を実施することができた。台湾では比較的コロナ感染症による制限や規制は少なく、本学学生や教員が台湾にて現地の学生や教員との交流において、活動制限は少ない環境で実施することができた。また、訪問時に高雄医学大学の学生へ国際交流に関する意識のアンケート調査を実施することができた。また同時に、台湾を訪問した本学学生に対してもアンケート調査を実施し、現在これらのアンケート調査の集計作業や分析作業を行っておる段階である。また、今後、台湾を訪問した学生に対して２～３か月後の追跡アンケートを行う予定としている。
