项目摘要

2022年度前半は、オクスフォードのフリデスウィデ、イーリーのエセルスリス、ミンスター・イン・サネットのミルドレッドの3人の聖女の崇敬に焦点を当て、ラテン語・中英語による聖人伝と、典礼写本やその他の崇敬活動を示す図像資料を基に、それぞれの地方における聖人崇敬の様相について論考をまとめた。研究の成果は、フリデスウィデ伝については23年度の国内学会での報告が決まり、ミルドレッド伝の一部はオンライン版Palgrave Encyclopedia of Women's Writings in the Global Middle Agesにて刊行された。2022年度後半は、エセルスリスの崇敬について調査をしている過程で、イーリーを中心とするイースト・アングリア地方における聖人崇敬が一般信徒にどのような影響を与えたのかについて、15世紀リンの女性マージェリー・ケンプに焦点を当てた論文をまとめ、海外で刊行される予定の論文集に投稿した。2023年3月には、イギリス・オクスフォード大学のAnne Mouron博士とベルギー・Universite' Saint-Louis, BruxellesのMarleen Cre'博士を招聘し、慶應義塾大学で中世ヨーロッパにおける女性と書物に関する講演会、金沢大学（しいのき迎賓館）で13～15世紀ヨーロッパの神秘主義作品に関する講演会、また東京で対面・オンラインで、日本とヨーロッパ各地をつないだオンライン・セミナー、慶應義塾大学で若手研究者向けのセミナーを行った。二人の研究者とは、13～15世紀ヨーロッパにおける神秘主義作品に関する論文集の準備を行っており、海外の出版社より２～３年後の刊行を目指して、複数回の編集打ち合わせを行った。2021年度に投稿した聖ウィニフレッドの移葬に関する論文が『旅するナラティヴ―西洋中世をめぐる移動の諸相』にて出版された。
