当初の研究計画では、令和3年度（2021年度）までに、モスクワ、ベルリン、ワルシャワ等の文書館で、1980年代から1991年にかけてのコメコンに関する資料調査を進め、本研究プロジェクトの最終的な成果を国際査読論文の形で発表する予定であった。しかし、2020年度以降、新型コロナウィルスの感染拡大に伴い、海外渡航が事実上不可能となったため、この当初計画はほぼ完全に変更せざるをえなくなった。そのため、令和4年度（2022年度）も本研究プロジェクトを継続して進めた。本研究に必要なアーカイヴ調査を実施できなかったことから、一昨年度と同様に、ドイツ連邦文書館のオンラインデータベース、ドイツ語、ロシア語、ポーランド語、チェコ語等の新聞・雑誌・史料集・回顧録などを集中的に分析した。その結果、この時期には、ソ連・東欧間のみならず、コメコンの非欧州加盟国（モンゴル、キューバ、ヴェトナム）との間でも、経済協力のありかたをめぐって、活発な議論が続いていたことを確認できた。このコメコン非欧州加盟国をめぐる問題については、特にモンゴルを中心に分析を進め、国際査読雑誌に提出した。「微修正のうえ採択」と評価されたことから、現在、修正作業を進めている。また、フィンランド科学アカデミーのスヴィ・カンシカス博士と共同で、コメコン解散過程とECとの関係に関する研究を進め、その成果の一部をミュンヘン大学のキラン・パテル教授を中心とする研究プロジェクト「Vanished Institutions」のワークショップで発表した。この研究内容についても、国際査読雑誌の特集号への掲載を目標に、共著者カンシカス博士やプロジェクト関係者の協力のもとに修正作業を進めている。
