本年度は、引き続き不足しているデータ収集と分析を進めた。まず国際比較分析については、昨年度まで収集したデータを用いて分析を進めているが、下院-上院間での制度間不均一の国際比較に耐えうる操作化に課題があり最終的な成果を出すには至っていない。具体的には、一院制および非公選上院をもつ国家の扱い、何をもって「不均一」とみなすかという課題である。特に後者については代表制の違い、選挙区定数の違い、制度類型による違い、など様々な基準が考えられる。理論上どの立場を採用すべきかについて実際のデータを踏まえて検討を開始しており、おおよその方向性は決まっているものの明確な定義と操作化を確定するには至っていない。次に個人レベルの分析については、これまでの分析で前年度実施した分析によって無党派層の類型によって制度間不均一への反応が異なることが明らかにされていた。本年度は制度間不均一と投票参加の関係を直接的に分析する一方で、党派性や過去の投票参加経験などを加味した分析に着手している。最後に衆院選の市町村レベルの分析については過去の選挙データを用いた予備的分析を進めているが、最新の2021年第49回衆議院議員総選挙についてはデータ収集が進んでおらず引き続き課題となっている。また、より詳細にデータを収集して制度間不均一の影響を細部まで明らかにするために、新たに1つの都道府県を取り上げた分析を構想しデータ収集を開始している。

Finally, the analysis of the municipal election of the House of Representatives has been carried out in the past, and the analysis prepared for the election of the 49th House of Representatives in 2021 has been carried out in the past.
