项目摘要

本年度は、コロナ禍で海外渡航が著しく制限されていた近年の状況がようやく緩和され、研究目的にも記載したとおり、研究の対象地域のアメリカに赴き、インタビューを行うことができた。前期の早い段階から当初予定していたフロリダ州の西フロリダ大学の関係者に連絡をとったが、異動のため協力を得ることができなかった。そこで、別のルートを頼って、アメリカの別の地域の研究者に連絡をとって、８月にインタビューのために渡米することができた。一人ずつ、約30分のインタビューを行った。同大学のBaker Teacher Leader Centerのセンター長をしている研究協力者であるWill Coghill-Behrends教授を介して、メールでインタビューの協力を要請し、志願者9名が集まった。インタビューはUniversity of IowaのCollege of Educationに在学するPreservice teachersで、大学２年生から大学院生まで9名が参加した。滞在中は同センターの一部の研究室をお借りして、インタビューを行った。日程調整やそのごのアフターフォローなどで、インタビューの時間以外にも各個人には約２時間余りの時間を費やした。研究計画に記載したように、各インタビュー参加者には２５ドルのギフトカードを配布した。膨大な量のインタビューデータの文字起こしをするためにイギリス人の留学生をリサーチアシスタントとして雇用した。留学生なので働ける時間が制限されているため、全てを文字起こしするのに、かなりの時間が費やされてしまった。文字起こしはある程度終了しているが、SPSS Analyticsもしくは別のQualitative Data Analysisのソフトウェアにかけるために、データのClean-upをしているところで、本年度が終了している。
