项目摘要

中学校の総合的な学習の時間に焦点をあて、教科横断型のカリキュラムの開発を目指した研究である。核となる教科は美術と理科であり、アートとサイエンスを融合する学習として、中学1年生を対象として、1年目は国立九州博物館と世界農業遺産を主題とした講演活動による生徒の変容を探った。2年目からはCOVID-19の影響により当初の計画の遂行が困難となったので、計画を変更した。そこで、研究協力校との意見交換により、理科の授業で問題提起、話題提供を行い、それを受けて、美術の授業で創作活動を実施することとした。一年目は理科の授業で光と色の関係について授業を実施しが、美術教育との有効な関連を明らかにすることができなかった。そこで、2年目は、美術の授業を計画し直し、理科の化学変化と美術の陶芸を結びつけ、皿への絵付けを主とした授業実践を行った。陶芸に関わる授業として、絵付けをする皿のデザイン、題材を選び下絵を作成した後に、絵付け作業を行った。絵付け作業の実践前に、絵付けに使う釉薬の説明を行った。3年目の実践となる昨年度は、陶芸の作品製作を核とする部分を継承しながら、釉薬の説明をより実際的とするために、釉薬の説明の際に焼きがまを準備し、焼成による色の付き方を提示した。また、理科で学習する酸化還元反応についての説明を追加した。すなわち、釉薬による絵付けが加熱により発色する仕組みと鉱物の酸化還元反応との関連を理科の教科書をもとに説明した。美術の授業実践は、前年度までと同様に美術担当の教員が授業を担当し、陶芸、絵付けに関する指導は、地元の陶芸業者が行った。授業実践は昨年度までと同様に、中学1年生3クラスを対象とし、釉薬と酸化還元反応の説明は、3クラス合同で行い、その後、１クラスごとに美術の授業として絵付け作業を行った。酸化還元反応については、事後のアンケートから、その学習効果を測定することとした。
