项目摘要

当該年度も新型コロナウィルス流行が続いたため海外での資料収集調査を取りやめざるを得ず、フランスやフランス系建設技術の移転施設などの現地調査を実施できなかった。フランスと中国の建造物に関しては現地調査は叶わなかったものの昨年度に引き続いて資料の収集を続け、横須賀製鉄所首長ヴェルニーが来日前に勤務した寧波の造船施設に関して、これまでわが国では紹介例も少なく不明な点も多かったものの資料調査の継続により若干の研究の進展があった。新たに得た情報もまだ断片的で課題は残るものの、これまで実態が明らかでなかった施設で本研究上でも重視すべき施設であることから、今後も関連資料の収集を継続する計画である。フランス系建築技術が導入された国内の類例施設に関する調査報告書などの基礎的資料の収集と分析についても昨年度に引き続き行ったが、横須賀製鉄所と後に起工された施設を検討した結果、西洋的要素が強くなっている建物と日本古来の伝統的技術の要素がより強い建物がみられ、各施設の性質と建設時の与条件などの関連情報についても分析を進める必要性が再確認できた。日仏の資料館や図書館のデジタルアーカイブスでは、資料本文の検索が可能となった資料も増えていることもあり、これまで扱われてこなかった資料の存在も確認でき、今後も関連資料の集積とリスト化、分析を続ける計画である。
