项目摘要

Plamen Akaliyski氏の研究テーマは、大規模調査データの統計解析に基づく価値観の国際比較分析である。ヨーロッパ（特に北欧諸国）とアジア（特に日本を始めとする東アジア諸国）の比較研究を進め、国際的な学術誌に査読論文として発表した。さらに、コロナ禍が価値観に与える影響を調べる国際調査プロジェクト「Values in Crisis（コロナ危機の中の価値観の国際比較調査、VIC）」に谷口と共に参画し、日本調査の実施とデータ解析にあたった。我々は全国3000人の成人を対象に第1波調査を2020年に、第2波調査を2021年に実施した。共同研究成果の第一は、世界最大規模の世論調査である「世界価値観調査(WVS）」の2019年実施データと、VIC第1波・第2波調査のデータを、propensity score matchingという統計手法で時系列的に解析したことである。その結果、先進国の人々の価値観に見られる「開放的価値観」と「合理的・世俗的価値観」が、コロナ禍の日本人においてやや後退したことが示された。第二の共同研究成果は、コロナ禍における日本人の社会的信頼感に関するものである。VIC調査データについてマルチレベル重回帰分析を行ったところ、感染者数が多い都道府県に居住している人、身体的被害の経験や不安がある人ほど、国の機関やリーダーに対して不信感を抱いていた。高所得者・保守層・他者信頼が高い人、経済的被害を受けた人は国を信頼していた。一方、各地域でコロナ対策の指揮を執る地方自治体首長への信頼の構造は国の機関とは異なり、医療関係者・専門家への信頼や他者への評価・連帯に近かった。コロナ禍のメディア・報道は、女性・高齢者・世帯人数の多い人・左派イデオロギーを持つ人が信頼する傾向にあった。これらの成果を内外の学会等で発表した他、招待論文や投稿論文の形で発表することになった。
