英文摘要
The meanings of invective everyday practices for political mobilization and radicalization between 1924-1938 are analyzed in emotional-historical perspective. The main hypothesis is that the feelings produced by invective communication patterns were central to generating attention and to mobilizing and radicalizing political movements. This insight opens up an important and new analytical perspective on understanding processes of political mobilization. The project’s second funding phase will focus on the playful and exploratory moments of invective everyday practices, and examines invective choreographies, such as those exhibited to large crowds in sports arenas in Berlin, Gelsenkirchen and Toronto, in comparative perspective.
