【研究内容】古来チベットと中国の境界であった青海地方は、ゲルク派の開祖ツォンカパを輩出するなど、チベット仏教の一大拠点として重要な役割を果たしてきた。清代においては、18世紀初頭にグンルン寺の高僧チャンキャ=ホトクトが清朝の大国師に任じられ、以後清一代を通じて青海地方出身の高僧たちが清朝のチベット仏教政策顧問として重用されたことが知られている。チャンキャら青海の高僧がかように重視された背景について、従来は専ら17世紀末以降の内陸アジア情勢やチャンキャ自身の資質などによって説明され、前時代からの連続性は等閑視されてきた。かかる状況に鑑み、清朝最初期の青海東部チベット仏教寺院の動向に着目し、清初からの通時的観点から清朝による青海重視政策の起源を再検討した。【方法】本年度は、特に清朝最初期の外交文書である『内秘書院モンゴル文档案』中の青海寺院関連文書を精査し、青海の寺院勢力がいつ、どのように清朝と関係を築いていたのか、後代にいかなる影響を及ぼしているかを検討した。また、青海内部の寺院ネットワークに関しては、17～18世紀に成立したチベット語史料を主に用いて検討を行った。さらに、上記文献解析によって得られた知見をもとに中国青海省および甘粛省において現地調査を行い、現地の地理感覚・景観などを把握した。【研究成果】検討の結果、青海東部タンリン寺を中心とするグループがいち早く清朝との関係構築を模索していたことが分かった。さらに、これらの寺院が相互に座主を輩出し合い、また中央チベットの大僧院に留学する際に同じ寄宿舎に所属して師弟関係を結ぶなど、相互に密接な関係を持つネットワークを形成していたことが明らかになった。後に清朝の大国師となるチャンキャもこのネットワークに所属しており、清初におけるこれら青海東部寺院勢力の動向が清朝の青海重視政策の重要な基礎となっていたことが判明した。

[Research content] Since ancient times, the realm of China has been one of the most important achievements of Qinghai Province. In the Qing Dynasty, at the beginning of the 18th century, the eminent monks of the Qing Dynasty were appointed as the great national teacher of the Qing Dynasty, and the later Qing Dynasty was appointed as the policy adviser of the Qing Dynasty. The importance attached to the background of Qinghai's eminent monks, Gakayou, and the recent history of the inland chaos situation since the end of the 17th century and their own qualifications explain that the continuity of the previous era is no longer regarded casually. The situation of Qing Dynasty in the eastern part of Qinghai Province, the trend of religious monasteries in the early Qing Dynasty, the point of Qing Dynasty in the early Qing Dynasty, the origin of Qinghai's emphasis policy, etc. [Method] This year, in particular, the diplomatic documents of the early Qing Dynasty were carefully examined in the "Internal Secretariat's Document Archives", and the influence of Qinghai monasteries on the relationship between Qing Dynasty and Qing Dynasty was discussed. The history of the temple in Qinghai Province was mainly discussed in the 17th and 18th centuries. In addition, the analysis of the above documents has been carried out in Qinghai Province, China and Gansu Province. [Research results] The results of the study show that the relationship between the eastern part of Qinghai and the Qing Dynasty is very close. The monasteries are close to each other.
