项目摘要

本申請では，他エージェント（他者や他個体）との運動同期（時間的に随伴した行動）が生じることで，共同注意を含めたコミュニケーションが促進されるのかを検討する。なお本年度は，出産・育児を理由とする採用中断のため，3ヶ月間研究を実施した。研究1では，インタビュー調査と質的研究法（M-GTA）を用いて，ウマとインタラクションを行う際の「人馬一体」感について明らかにした。結果は，指示に時間的に随伴してウマが行動を変容させたときに「自分の手足のようにウマを感じた」といった主体感や，「ウマとわかり合えた」といった円滑なコミュニケーション感が生じることが明らかになった。また，このようなウマの行動変容には，長期の飼育や訓練を通してウマがヒトの指示を学習するだけでなく，ヒトがウマの行動を学習すること，つまり双方の学習（相互学習）が必要であることを明らかにした（大北・二瓶・西山・澤，2018）。この論文は2018年度日本認知科学会論文賞を受賞した（2019年9月6日受賞）。また研究1の結果を踏まえ，ヒトとイヌ，ヒトとウマの異種間インタラクションを成立させる要因，異種間インタラクションにおける円滑なコミュニケーション感に寄与する要因を総説としてまとめ，動物心理学研究に掲載された（大北，2019）。研究2，研究3は，昨年度行った実験の取りまとめを行った。研究2では，相互学習を経て時間的に随伴するようになったエージェントの説得により，意思決定が変容するのかをエージェントロボットを用いて検討した。研究3では，相互学習が生じると考えられる長期の飼育や訓練を通して，インタラクションの対象となった異種の動物を「円滑なコミュニケーション」ができる対象として認識するようになるのかを質問紙を用いて検討した。研究2・研究3ともに国際誌に投稿準備中である。
