A study for development of science class using the traditional words about nature in Japan

本研究的目的是开发一种采用日本传统的自然事物和自然现象的词汇的科学教学。根据对教师和学生使用这些词语的调查结果，许多教师支持将其变成科学课中丰富的语言活动，轻松融入日本的自然特征，提高学生对自然的兴趣，丰富自然知识等。此外，学生们也普遍肯定学习那些单词。这是积极的，更多的女孩比男孩学习。在小学三年级至六年级的科学课的实验中，我们发现，收集传统词汇、命名活动、制作一首31音节的日语诗和一首俳句诗、设置小测验是教学的手段。

The purpose of this research is to develop a science teaching adopting the traditional Japanese words about natural things and natural phenomena. As the result of the survey for use of those words to teachers and students, it was supported by lots of teachers to become language activities rich in science classes, to incorporate natural features of Japan easily, to enhance the students interest about nature, to enrich the knowledge about nature, and so forth. In addition, students were also affirmative in general to learn those words. And it was positive that more girls than boys to learn. In trial practice of the science lesson from the 3rd grade to the 6th grade, we could find as the device of instruction, collecting the traditional words, naming activities, producing a Japanese poem of 31 syllables and a haiku poem, and setting quiz.
