Sound sources based on dielectric elastomers

基于介电弹性体的声源

基本信息

项目摘要

The aim is to develop concepts for sound sources based on DE, which utilizes their properties to the full potential and feature greater efficiency, better functional integration, higher design versatility, better power- and size scaling options and significant weight reduction compared to conventional systems and thus extend the application range of sound sources. In addition, there is the possibility to forgo the use of rare earth, piezo ceramics and even metals. This includes the following tasks:- Computer aided design and simulation methodology of DE-sound sources based on the method of the Combined Simulation (Network Description and Finite Element Method)- Fundamentals of material and process requirements of DE-sound sources, with in depth understanding of the chemical, technological and structural influences on their behavior - Development of sound sources for selected applications- Realization and examination of these sound sources as technological Demonstrators to illustrate the potentialThe aim is to establish an in depth understanding of the full potential of DE-sound sources. With this project we aim to give new impetus to the development of DE based sound sources in particular and dynamical DE-actuators in general.
