本年度は、2件の契丹小字墓誌銘を中心に文献学的・言語学的検討を進めるとともに、契丹（遼）に関わる漢文史料の文献学的・書誌学的研究を並行して進め、多様な成果を収めた。契丹小字『故耶律氏銘石』は以前から読み進めていた墓誌資料であり、訳註を作成して研究会を通して講読してきたが、本年度中に読解を完了した。その過程で、時間表現に関わる漢語借用語等、文化的にも興味深い新解読成果が得られた。また、契丹小字発見100周年でもあった2022年には、100年前に発見された契丹小字『興宗皇帝哀冊文』の銘辞冒頭部を検討していくつかの字句を解読し、中国内蒙古自治区で開催された国際シンポジウムおよび国内の研究会で発表した。この成果は、解読の遅れていた皇帝・皇后の「哀冊」という特殊なジャンルの墓誌資料の解読を大きく前進させるものであるが、契丹語解読において漢文史料やモンゴル同源語が果たす役割の重要性を改めて端的に示すとともに、契丹文字墓誌資料の歴史文献としての価値やモンゴル語語彙史の理解への貢献性を示すものでもあった。契丹文字資料の読解に深く関わる漢文史料である『契丹国志』と『遼史』については下記の成果を得た。『契丹国志』は作者とされる葉隆礼の真作を疑う意見もあるが、葉隆礼という人物については不明な部分が多い。本年度は、発見した清代の葉氏家譜に詳細な検討を加えてその信頼性を論ずるとともに、真蹟・鑑印資料等の新資料を用いて葉隆礼の事績の一端を明らかにすることができた。この成果は紀要論文として発表した。『遼史』に関しては、現存最古の版本である明洪武刊本（特に中国国家図書館・台湾故宮博物院所蔵の諸本）に文献学的・書誌学的検討を加え、諸本の相対年代を明らかにし、上海商務印書館が影印出版した百衲本二十四史『遼史』やそれを底本とする中華書局点校本二十四史『遼史』の問題点など関連する諸問題を論じる口頭発表を行なった。
