本年度は最終年度のため、引き続き契丹文字文献を用いた文字・音韻・形態研究を進めると共に、研究の総括を行なった。第一に、契丹小字の表記体系についての研究成果を総括した。漢語音転写と押韻資料を音価推定の第一の手がかりとし、その上で字素の分布特徴を分析することにより、体系的な音価推定法を確立し、綴字規則を帰納した。その成果をロシアで開催された国際シンポジウムで発表した。第二に、契丹語とモンゴル諸語との音対応規則を帰納して、モンゴル祖語から契丹語に至る音変化規則を推定した。その成果の一部はActa Orientalia Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae誌で出版予定である。第三に、契丹語の母音調和について音韻論的分析を加えた。これは当該トピックに関する初めての実証的研究である。結果として契丹語には円唇調和が観察されず、舌根調和のみが存在し、それも極めて限定的であることを明らかにした。第四に、契丹語形容詞の性・数による形態変化について扱い、一部の形容詞で性標示が語幹母音の前舌化によって形成されることを明らかにした。これは従来、接辞附加以外の形態操作が想定されていなかった契丹語形態論を解明する上で非常に重要な発見である。この成果は『京都大学言語学研究』に掲載された。第五に、数が関与する名詞の形態変化について扱い、与位格・奪格および対格における語幹の数による接辞の使い分けを明らかにした。第六に、解読成果を利用した発展的研究を行なった。先行諸研究で遼朝最後の皇帝天祚帝に比定されてきた契丹小字文献中の皇帝号について、従来の比定の非妥当性を示した上で、関連語句の読解や関連人物の比定を通じて、当該皇帝号が天祚帝の父であり追尊皇帝である耶律濬（順宗）を指すことを明らかにした。なお、『言語研究』第148号に掲載された研究論文によって日本言語学会論文賞を受賞した。
