项目摘要

日本語教育の現場において、教師がよく学生に会話文や読解文章等を音読させる。しかし、日本語学習者の声に出して読んだ日本語が聞き手にとって分かりにくいことがある。聞き手を意識した音読指導が必要であるが、現状では学習者の音読のわかりやすさを向上させる音声指導法がほとんど見当たらない。本研究は、まず初級と中級日本語学習者を対象に音読調査を行い、音読音声の実態を明らかにする。その上で、日本語学習者にとっての効果的な音読指導法を開発することを目的として設定した。具体的に、①初級および中級日本語学習者にそれぞれレベルにあった日本語の文章を読んでもらい、録音する、②録音した音声データを音響分析し、音声評価を行う、③学習者の音読音声の実態に基づいて聞き手にとって分かりやすい音読の仕方を検討し、指導法を確立する。2022年度は、当初計画通り、初級日本語学習者の音読データの収集と母語話者の音読データとの比較分析を行い、分析結果をまとめ１件の研究発表を行った。研究成果として以下の2点を報告する。第一に、初級日本語学習者は音読材料文の内容を理解したものの、音声処理に時間かかる学習者が多く、発話速度は一定ではないことが判明した。学習者間の発話速度の差が大きく、学習者内にも大きなばらつきがある。初級段階からモーラの等時性を強調し、発話速度を重視した読み方の指導が大切であると考える。第二に、初級学習者はポーズの置く位置とポーズの長さがわからない。学習者が音読する際に、文末にポーズを置くが、文中の場合、どこにポーズを置くべきかはあまり意識していないことが観察された。これは、日本語の文字列の分節能力が原因であると考えている。語の一部を独立要素として認識してしまい、一語一語で読んでしまう可能性がある。教師が音読させる前に、学習者と共に「読む際の一まとまり」を視覚的に表示する等の指導が必要であると考える。
