２０２２年度の研究は、領土概念に関連するものとして、海洋関連概念、とくに現在、日本の外交政策において最も重要な概念となっている「インド太平洋」についての研究を中心に行なった。学会発表としては以下が挙げられる。６月には、オランダのフロニンゲン大学でワークショップ（招待）に参加した。ここでの議論は、国際関係論における時代区分が、近年重要な議論のひとつとなっている欧州中心性にどのような意味をもつのかという議論に発展し、現在、参加者計５人と共同でforum 論文にまとめている。間もなく国際査読誌に投稿する予定である。さらに7月にアテネで行われた欧州国際政治学会主宰の学会では、Plenary Roundtableの登壇者として指名を受け、領土に関する研究について発表した。さらに9月に行われた同学会でも、日本における領土と海洋概念、国家理由の歴史的変遷ついて発表を行った。また３月にも、米国国際政治学会で同様の発表を行なった。いずれも有意義なフィードバックを得ることができた。また、論文としては、２０２３年４月に国際査読誌TelosにA Way to Transcend Boundaries: Pluralist Theology, Shusaku Endo and Global IRと題する論文を発表した。これは、グローバルな政治空間が、どのように「複数的」に想像され得るかということについて、遠藤周作の思想とジョン・ヒックの思想を比較して検討したものである。いずれにおいても、海外ではほとんど知られていない日本における政治地理的概念の発展について、有意義な国際的貢献を行うことができた。さらに、さまざまな研究者との意見交換を通じて、自己の研究成果をより広い文脈で捉えることができた。

The political space of Endo Shūsaku is different from that of Endo Shūsaku. The concept of political geography is developed in Japan, and significant international contributions are made. For example, the researchers exchange opinions and research results.
