本研究は、2005年以降の経済成長率の低下を説明するため、投資財相対価格の動きに注目して、技術進歩の低下が経済の成長をどの程度押し下げたかを検証している。2022年度はこの研究を、さまざまな国際学会で発表し、フィードバックを得ることができた。その結果、論文の質を大幅に改善することができた。また、投資財の多くは貿易財であるため、現在の閉鎖経済のモデルでは現実をうまく描写できていないという指摘をもらった。2023年度はこの閉鎖経済モデルを国際経済モデルに拡張する予定である。また、投資材価格の下落の原因を理解するために、産業組織理論の手法を用いた分析も開始した。POSデータの購入が完了し、すでに初等的な分析結果が得られている。現在の結果では、企業の独占力は上昇していないが、それをさらに裏付けるためにより高度な分析を開始する予定である。最後に付随した研究として、技術の停滞が日本のインフレにどのような影響を与えたのか、という論文も初稿が完成した。この論文では日本銀行が量的質的緩和金融政策を導入した同時期に、日本で耐久財の相対価格が上昇していることを指摘し、この相対価格の上昇は（金融緩和の効果ではなく）技術停滞を表していると主張している。この技術停滞によるインフレに関する論文と、成長に関する論文を2023年度中に投稿する予定である。
