法制度や金銭的なインセンティブを用いずに人の行動を望ましい方向に誘導する心理科学的な仕組みのことをナッジという。ナッジのために用いることができる心理学的なメカニズムの一つに社会規範があることが知られており、社会規範の効果の大きさについては、すでに多くの証拠が蓄積されている。本研究で取り上げたのは社会規範のうち、「多くの他者がやっている」という情報にもとづく記述的規範である。記述的規範もまた、ナッジとして有望であることは知られていたが、記述的規範の効果を高めるために、その提示方法を「オーダーメイド化」することが課題であった。本研究では、記述的規範からの影響の受けやすさの個人差を測定する尺度の洗練を目指す調査研究を実施した。「多数の他者の動向」の影響の受けやすい人もいれば、これに抵抗をもつ人もいるため、その感受性の個人差を測定するための尺度開発を目指した。本年度は開発した心理尺度について、二波の縦断調査を実施することで尺度の信頼性と妥当性について検討する研究を実施した。実施した調査からは、①本研究で開発した非言語的な心理尺度は記述的規範の個人差の測定に有望であること、②再検査信頼性は尺度化のために許容できる程度であること、③本研究で開発した尺度と、既存の同調傾向を測定するための言語的な心理尺度との基準関連妥当性には問題があること、という結果が得られた。今後検討する必要があるのは、本研究で開発した尺度の基準関連妥当性についての議論と、実際のフィールド下での利用可能性の可否であると考えている。
