项目摘要

一般に，強みは自殺予防に役立つものの，強みの種類によっては自殺リスクを高めることもある。本研究における主な学術的問いは，「強みの活用は自殺予防に寄与するか？」，「強みの活用を自殺予防に役立てるためには，どのような条件が必要となるか？」である。本年度はまず，質問紙調査を行ない，強みの種類や活用する場面を踏まえて，強みの認識・活用が自殺の抑制・促進要因や自殺念慮にもたらす関連性を検討した（3回目は2023年度に実施予定）。2022年10月と2023年2月に，インターネット調査会社を経由して若年層500名程度を対象に2回の縦断的質問紙調査を行なった。調査項目は，強みの種類，強みの認識や活用，自殺の抑制・促進要因（所属感の減弱，負担感の知覚，抑うつ，ソーシャルサポート，ウェルビーイング），自殺念慮などである。その結果，どのような強みであっても活用することがウェルビーイングの向上をもたらすことが明らかとなった。また，対自的（自己に焦点した）強みを有する者では，強みの活用が自殺の抑制要因（ウェルビーイング，ソーシャルサポート）を向上させ，ひいては自殺念慮を低減させる可能性が示された。一方，対他的（他者に焦点した）強みを有する者では，強みの活用は自殺の促進要因（所属感の減弱，負担感の知覚），および自殺念慮をも直接的に低減させることが示された。また，対他的強みと対自的強みとの間で，強みの認識・活用感は大きく異ならなかった。これらの研究成果は，2023年度に学術大会にて一般発表を行なって公開する。また，査読付き学術論文として，2023年度中に投稿する予定である。
