本研究の対象はイタリアと日本の中山間地域で、直近10年間に提供された仮居住地である。①中山間地域で建設型仮設住宅のニーズがある、②撤去済み仮設団地が周辺地域へ影響を与えレガシィを残している、③建設型仮設住宅の屋内環境の充実と都市計画の議論の間に配置計画や周辺環境への考察が積み残されている、④移動型仮設住宅が登場した、⑤イタリアの仮居住の場（S.A.E Soluzioni di allogiamento di emergenz）は日本よりも居住期間が長い、⑥災害救助法の改正による仮設住宅の面積制限の撤廃、以上6点を背景に、具体的には次の3点を明らかにすることを目的としている。（A）東日本大震災と熊本地震の仮設団地とその周辺は跡形もなく震災前の環境に戻っているのか。なにか影響が残っているのであれば、その事象と理由、（B）効率優先と使用期間は2年という前提を見直して中長期的に生活する場として捉え直したとき、イタリアS.A.E.の屋外環境や配置計画の空間的特性、（C）配置計画に着目しつつ移動型仮設住宅の可能性と課題2022年度は申請時とは研究スケジュールを変更し、（A）と（B）の課題に重心をおいて取り組んだ。具体的には（A）について、調査票設計をすべく岩手と熊本においてプレ調査を実施した。（B）について、2023年度からとりかかる予定であったが、海外渡航の状況が2022年度秋以降に改善されたため、2022年度末にMarche州だけでなくAbruzzo州とLazio州も含めて40箇所のS.A.Eの屋外環境調査を実施した。また、海外調査という点では、2023年2月6日に発生したトルコ地震の仮住まいの状況を注視している。
