项目摘要

当初、リアル指向のエージェントベース都市動態モデルの開発を行うことを目的としていたが、新型コロナウイルス感染症が収束せず、詳細な現地調査が困難となったことや、自治体関係者に対するヒアリングの中で、近年盛んに議論されている公共交通指向型開発の導入や、同じく近年盛んに行われている高層集合住宅の建設・供給が、都市の形態に与える中・長期的な影響を、その基本的なメカニズムとともに推定することが重要な課題であると判断し、抽象モデルに基づいて取り組むこととした。その結果、地方都市スケールにおける「公共交通指向型開発（TOD）」モデルの適用に関して、シミュレーション実験から、既存の自動車依存と分散型開発地域内に対処するには、TODという特定地域の開発戦略と協調的な施策との調和したパッケージを「レトロフィット」させることが必要であるということを明らかにした。その「レトロフィット」の成功のための必要最小限の要素の一つ目は、質の高い公共交通機関の導入であり、もう一つは、交通と緊密に統合・協力した交通結節点周辺地域への活動の誘致である。この成果をまとめた論文は、「International Journal of Urban Sustainable Development」誌 (SCImago社 2021年ジャーナルランキング上位25%）に掲載された。さらに、どのような都市機能を導入するかは、コミュニティの状況を把握する必要であることから、実際の都市を対象に、合成人口データを用いた世帯構成分析およびインタビュー調査を実施した。その結果から、コミュニティ内の高齢者向け交通手段や、学校区単位でのつながり、地域イベントの重要性などが明らかとなり、それらをサポートする都市機能の導入が求められていることが示唆された。
