認知症者の介護において最も負担となるものの一つが，食事の介護であることが繰り返し指摘されているが，認知症の疾患別，重症度別に食行動を検討した研究は驚くほど少ない。アルツハイマー型認知症や前頭側頭型認知症ではある程度，エビデンスが集積されつつあるが，レビー小体型認知症においては，ほとんど多数例での検討はない。本研究ではprodromal期から進行期までのレビー小体型認知症の食行動の特徴を明らかにするとともに関連する要因を明らかにすることを目的としている。2022～2024年は基本的情報や認知機能評価，食の嗜好調査のデータ収集を中心に行う計画を立てている。2022年度は，課題内容の一部を見直し，各研究協力施設の倫理審査委員会の承認手続きを行い，協力施設の担当者と，対象者の選定および課題遂行のための日程調整などを中心に行った。対象者はレビー小体型認知症，アルツハイマー型認知症の患者を中心に，可能な場合はその配偶者にも健常者のデータとして協力を求めた。基本的情報を把握するとともに，認知機能評価を行い，濃淡を変えた甘味や塩味，また，触感を変えた食物を呈示し，嗜好を訊ねた。介護者には食行動アンケートを実施した。対象者の中には，食の嗜好課題の理解が困難であり，結果を得られない対象者も少なからず存在した。最終的にはレビー小体型認知症3名，アルツハイマー型認知症７名，意味性認知症1名，健常高齢者6名のデータを収集した。課題遂行にて得られた情報は介護者にフィードバックし，適宜助言も行った。
