本年度は、堀口捨己および同時代の建築家たちの茶室論とその関連論考について、資料収集と言説研究を主に行った。研究成果は以下の５つである。１）堀口の茶室論の研究：主に露地に関する論考を読解し、彼の茶室論を主導する概念「隔離性」との関連を探った。また堀口の活動全体における茶室研究の位置づけについての整理・調査を行った。２）同時代の建築家たちの思想の整理：堀口の思想的基盤の形成において重要な役割を果たしたと思われる分離派建築会メンバー、森田慶一・瀧澤眞弓の思想（現代建築における古典の意義について）を分析した。３）昭和初期の茶室論の収集:澤島英太郎・谷川徹三・岡倉天心を中心に、堀口と交流のあった思想家たちの茶室論を収集した（継続中）。４）茶室空間の現代的意義についての検討：近代数寄屋や伝統的茶室が現代においてどのような意義をもつのかについて、現代住宅を手掛ける建築家たちと議論する機会を得た。５）研究成果の公表：堀口の茶室論について論考をまとめるとともに、展覧会のパネル作成、講演会、パネルディスカッションなどを通じて、近代茶室論の体系化に向けた基礎的考察の報告を行った。一方で、年度途中に「産前産後の休暇、育児休業の取得」のため、「科学研究費助成事業(学術研究助成基金助成金)研究中断」することとなった。本年度に予定していた調査（昭和初期の茶室論の収集と整理、堀口の作品調査）については復職後速やかに再開する予定である。

This year, the author of the research on the relationship between contemporary architects and the collection of data was invited. The research results are as follows: 1) The study of Horiguchi's teahouse theory: the explanation of the relationship between the main theory and the main theory, and the exploration of the relationship between the concept of "isolation" and the main theory of their teahouse. All activities of Horiguchi are conducted in the tea room research area. 2) Collation of contemporary architects 'thoughts: analysis of the formation of the foundation of Horiguchi's thoughts, the important results of the war, and the thoughts of the separatist architectural society, Morida Kiichi Takizawa's thoughts (the classical meaning of modern architecture) 3) Collection of Tea Room Discussion in the Early Period of Showa: Eitaro Sawajima, Toruzo Tanigawa, Okakura Tenshin Center, Horiguchi Communication, and Thinker Collection (中) 4) The modern significance of tea room space: modern house and traditional tea room have modern significance, modern house has hand-hung architecture and discussion opportunities. 5) Report of research achievements: research on the theory of tea room in Horiguchi, production of exhibition, lecture, communication of tea room theory, investigation report on the systematization of modern tea room theory. In the middle of the year, there are two categories: "Prenatal and postnatal rest, acquisition of maternity leave" and "Research interruption of scientific research assistance (academic research assistance fund)." This year's scheduled survey (collection and arrangement of tea room discussions in the early Showa period, and survey of Horiguchi's works) is scheduled for reopening after restoration.
