项目摘要

1 特性自尊心と原因帰属スタイルの研究:質問紙法によって仮想の出来事に対する原因帰属の様式と特性自尊心との関係を調べた。仮想場面は、出来事の肯定性(肯定的・否定的)×出来事の領域(達成場面・対人場面)で各10場面ずつ計40場面によって構成され、5つの原因(内的・安定・統制不能(能力、性格);内的・統制可能(努力);内的・不安定・統制不能(気分、印象);外的・安定(課題の困難さ、相手の性格);外的・不安定(運))のいずれかへ帰属を求めた。高自尊心者は低自尊心者に比べて、肯定的な対人場面の原因を相手の性格ではなく自分の印象に、否定的な対人場面の原因を自分の性格ではなく自分の印象ないし努力に帰属する傾向が認められた。また肯定的な達成場面を課題の容易さではなく、自分の能力に帰属する傾向も認められた。2 特性自尊心と自己肯定化による自己防衛行動:「常識テスト」の否定的なフィードバックに対する自己肯定化による自尊心防衛の個人差を明らかにするため、自尊心(高・低)×自己肯定化(有・無)の研究デザインで、「常識テスト」の妥当性の判断および自分と同様の否定的なフィードバックを受ける人数の推定を調べた。分散分析の結果、妥当性の判断には主効果、交互作用とも認められなかったが、人数推定には自己肯定化の主効果が認められ、自己肯定化の機会を与えられなかった場合に自分と同様の失敗者の数を多く見積もる傾向が認められた。自尊心の効果は認められなかった。3 特性自尊心と領域ごとの平均以上効果に関する発達的研究:特性自尊心の高さの発達的な変化、および平均以上効果の領域ごとの関係の差異を調べるために、中学1、3年生、高校2年生、大学1年生に対して質問紙調査を行った。結果については現在分析中である。
