项目摘要

現地調査により入手した文献資料およびインフォーマントから得られた言語資料に基づきながら、ガガウズ語の言語の統語法に関する言語記述とその資料が提供する一般言語学的な問題に対する理論的貢献を行った。具体的にはガガウズ語の存在表現の類型を検討することにより、ガガウズ語が提示する複雑な語順の類型と文法構造の相関に関する記述データの整理と分析を行った。その結果、ガガウズ語はSVOの基本語順を基本的に保持するが、主要部前置型か主要部後置型かという主要部パラメターの観点からは、徹底した主要部前置型の統語構造には移行していないことが存在文の語順を現代トルコ語と比較することから得られた。これよりスラブ系諸言語と接触したガガウズ語のケースでは言語接触による統語構造の変化は漸次的にしか進まないことを示唆するものと考えられる。またガガウズ語とトルコ語の比較の過程で得られた結論として、さらにガガウズ語の統語的特性を解明するためにはガガウズ語に近隣するバルカン-トルコ語の影響を無視することが出来ないことが分かった。ガガウズ語は音韻的にはバルカン-トルコ語と多くの共通点を持つが、バルカン-トルコ語の統語法はガガウズ語とトルコ語の中間的な様相を呈している。両言語を黒海北東部で使用されているトルコ語として同一グループ的に考えることにより、それぞれの言語が受けてきた過程がより明らかになるであろう。インターネットでの公開ガガウズ語のフィールドワークの様子、およびガガウズ語とガガウズ人の文化についての情報を公開した。フィールドワークで得られた資料の一部を電子化し公開した。http;//www.okayama-u.ac.jp/user/le/ling/Index.html学会での研究発表トルコ共和国イスタンブルにて開催された第13回言語学会(1999.5)にてガガウズ語の統語構造に関する研究発表を行った。社会活動日本トルコ文化協会(京都市1999.6)において『ガガウズ語 -キリスト教徒のトルコ人-』という演題で一般向けの講演を行った。
