本年度は前年度行ったトルコ語と現代ウイグル語のwh疑問文のアクセントパターンに加え、フォーカス文（フォーカス要素、すなわち強調された要素が含まれた文）におけるアクセントパターンの研究を行った。トルコ語の先行研究においては、フォーカス文ではフォーカス要素のアクセントのみが実現し、フォーカス要素に後続する語のアクセントの削除が起きると言われている。本研究では、まずその確認を行い、さらに現代ウイグル語のフォーカス文がどのようなアクセントパターンを示すか調査した。本研究の調査結果によれば、トルコ語のフォーカス文における上述のアクセントパターンは随意的なものであり、フォーカス要素以降の語のアクセントが削除されないアクセントパターンも見受けられた。その一方で、現代ウイグル語では、アクセント削除は義務的なものであった。すなわち、フォーカス要素のアクセントのみが実現し、それ以降の語のアクセントが削除されるパターンのみが観察された。また、wh疑問文の再調査を行い、フォーカス文のアクセントパターンと比較したところ、トルコ語のwh疑問文ではアクセント削除は義務的であるが、フォーカス文では随意的であること、さらに現代ウイグル語ではその逆でwh疑問文ではアクセント削除は随意的でフォーカス文では義務的であることが明らかとなった。このことから、同じチュルク諸語であっても、両言語間ではwh語やフォーカス要素が文全体のアクセントパターンにどのような影響を与えるのかが異なることが示唆された。本年度は、この成果を2019年7月に韓国で行われた国際学会において発表した。また、本年度はこれらに加え、エスキシェヒル・カラチャイ語の調査を行い、平叙文と疑問文のアクセントパターンに関するデータを得た。
