本研究の目的は、地域とともにつくる高校教育を実現するカリキュラム・マネジメントの展開論理についての研究である。昨今の教育改革において「共通性の確保」と「多様性への対応」を基調としてその方向性が示されてきた。生徒たちには外発的な動機ではなく、内発的な動機から、主体的な学習、協働を通じた学習、そして何より探究的な学びが求められていることから、それらを支える教育活動については本校でも柔軟に進められてきた。しかし、現実には単発の活動「プロジェクトベース」の実践では継続されず、持続性を担保できないという課題がある。これが本研究の出発点である。本研究では、本校がこれまで取り組んできた「地域連携」「教科横断型教育」の学習プログラムをベースとして、卒業生を含む生徒達のポートフォリオ等を整理し、生徒達(在校生・卒業生)にインタビューを行った。さらに、職員研修や地域の協力者との意見交換会を実施し、地域資源「ヒト・モノ・コト」を活用した本校の教育実践のあり方について、それぞれのリフレクションを持ち寄って成果指標を導き出そうと試みた。本研究を通じて「地域と共につくる高校教育を実現するカリキュラム・マネジメント」の一端を明らかにすることができた。それは、これまでの教育課程の編成・実施・評価・改善という一連のサイクルを学校内部完結型で実施していた形態を、地域の協力者と共に、生徒達の成長や課題を話し合いながら、計画的・組織的に既存の教育課程をブラッシュアップしてゆく形態への移行である。これらの条件整備にあったては、これまでの固定概念を捨て、高校側が地域に教育現場の実態を丁寧に伝え、継続的に連携・協力するためのコミュニティづくりが大切であった。さらに、こうした新しい学びを生徒たちに提供するには、教員自身も学び続け、変化し続ける社会の環境に自ら入り込むことが必要不可欠である。
