日本のスポーツアナリストの需要拡大を受けて、優秀なスポーツアナリストを育成する必要性が高まっている。そのためには早期からスポーツアナリティクスの経験を積む必要性があると考えられ、本研究は、中高生の男子テニス選手(n=15)を対象にし、次の二点の目的を設定してアナリスト育成のための実践的研究を行った。(1) パフォーマンス測定アプリケーションを使用した場合の測定の信頼性アナリティクス未経験の中高生が、テニス専用のパフォーマンス測定アプリケーションを使用した場合に、信頼性のある測定ができるのかどうかを検証した。試合を固定カメラで撮影し、選手が自身で試合のパフォーマンスを測定した。信頼性の基準は、テニスの指導歴5年の硬式テニス部顧問教員とテニス競技歴10年のテニス選手による評価者間信頼性を確認した。顧問教員を信頼性の基準とし、選手自身が測定したパフォーマンスデータとの信頼性を確認した。その結果、座標データ、名義データともに高い信頼性が確認された。(2) テニスのアナリスト育成プログラムの有効性テニスのアナリストを育成するために、1. 試合の撮影測定、2. 分析講習会の実施、3. パフォーマンス測定、4. ゲームパフォーマンスレポートによるフィードバック、5. 自己分析の実施の五段階から構成されるプログラムを実施し、プログラムの前後で質問紙調査を行った。その結果、育成プログラムはスポーツアナリティクスに対する興味や好感度を高めること、アプリケーションを使った測定の精度を高めること、初歩的な統計的手法を学習できること、分析結果を伝達する能力を養うことに寄与することが明らかとなった。上記の結果から、本研究はテニスのアナリストを早期から育成することが可能であることを示唆し、日本のスポーツアナリストの需要拡大に応えることのできる基礎的研究を蓄積した。
