1研究の経過(1)ナイフ形石器の製作実験北海道産黒曜石を購入し、縦長剥片からナイフ形石器を製作し、製作動作の変化と加工剥離の角度変化を記録した。その結果、動作が連続する場合は、剥離角度の変化が10度以内に収まるが、石器を持ち替えるなど、動作の中断があった場合は、10度以上の角度変化が生じることが明らかとなった。(2)ナイフ形石器の加工剥離の角度計測東海地方の遺跡から出土した、縦長剥片を使ったナイフ形石器の加工剥離の角度を計測したところ、背部加工の角度変化が10度以内に収まる連続剥離が2～3箇所の単位で認められ、これらの単位の境界では、10度以上の角度変化が観察できた。これに対して、近畿地方に見られる横長剥片を使ったナイフ形石器では、背部加工の角度が一定せず、不連続であった。2研究の成果東海地方の縦長剥片を使ったナイフ形石器では、形態を決定する加工である背部加工が2～3の異なる動作によって形成されている可能性が高い。この時、動作が2つの場合は、動作変換点に屈曲部が形成され、ナイフ形石器の平面形が左右対称になる。動作が3つの場合は、動作変換点に屈曲部が形成されず、平面形が左右非対称になることが判明した。また、横長剥片を使ったナイフ形石器では、背部加工が不連続な打撃によっている可能性が高く、このため、背部の加工剥離角度が一定せず、背部の形態も個体差が大きいと考えられた。3研究の意義従来の石器形態学は、完成した石器の観察と記載に留まっており、形態が形成された技術的過程を追及できなかった。本研究では、ナイフ形石器の形態形成過程の復元に展望を見出すことができた。石器の製作技術は複雑多様なため、今後の課題も多いが、一つの手がかりとして、剥離角度の研究により、石器形態学に新しい分野を切り開く可能性を示すことができた。

1. Study on the process of making white stone tools (1) Record the purchase of white stone from Hokkaido, the long stripping, the production of white stone tools, the change of production action and the change of processing angle. The results of the study showed that the possibility of the formation of the long strip in the East China Sea was high. The time, the movement, the bending part, the movement change point, the plane shape, the left and right symmetry. The possibility of the back processing is high, the back processing peeling angle is constant, and the back shape is different. 3. The significance of the study is to trace the process of stone tool morphology, complete stone tool observation and record, form formation and technology. This paper presents the prospect of the reconstruction of the morphogenesis of the stone tools. The technology of stone tools manufacturing is complex, the future problems are numerous, the hand is open, the angle of separation is studied, the morphology of stone tools is new, the possibility of cutting is shown.
