今回の科学研究費補助金(奨励研究)の交付は、研究主題「日本列島最古の石器文化に対する多地域間の比較研究」に以下のような成果をもたらした。1.フランス・パリ市古人類古生物学研究所主催の「それぞれの大陸における先史時代最古の人類活動」(意訳)の国際シンポジウムに参加し、日本列島周辺諸国における更新世人類、特に原人、旧人、新人の諸段階に関する最新研究の知見を得ることが出来た。また、日本列島の実例を紹介することができた。更に、多数の諸外国研究者との情報交換が得られ、本研究の東アジア多地域間における編年学的な位置づけの方向性が得られた。特に韓国、中国、インド、インドネシア等の研究者との電子便やホームページ活動等の情報交換が出来、既に本主題研究に大いに役立ちつつあり、今後ますます重要となりうる。2.北海道内(札幌、幕別)の更新世人類文化の資料を実見し、担当研究者に資料内容について詳細な照会することができた。これまで報告されていた北海道内最古資料等に関して、新たな知見と研究上の課題も見出された。3.日本列島最古の資料である岩手県遠野市金取遺跡の資料に関する出張調査を実施することで、詳細な計測と観察データが得られた。また、最新の発掘成果の存在も知りえた。その結果、列島内の基本資料の知見が深められた。4.日本列島周辺のアジア諸国において比較対象資料に対し観察票の記載が開始でき、考古学上の数値を基礎とした体系的比較研究の途を開けた。以上、本研究助成制度は、日本列島最古の石器群を人類文化編年上に位置づける研究を飛躍的に進展させる効果が得られたのである。

This year's scientific research grant (incentive research) was delivered on the theme of "Comparative research between different regions on the most ancient stone culture of the Japanese archipelago." 1. We have obtained insights into the latest research on the various stages of Pleistocene humans, special hominins, old hominins, and new hominins in the countries surrounding the Japanese archipelago by participating in the international symposium on "The Most Ancient Human Activities in the Prehistoric Era on the Continent"(Italian) sponsored by the Institute of Paleontology and Paleontology in Florence City. The Japanese islands are listed below. Moreover, most of the foreign researchers have been able to exchange information, and the location and orientation of chronology in this study have been achieved. In particular, information exchange between researchers from Korea, China, Japan, and Japan on e-commerce activities has been conducted, which is important for the research of this topic. 2. Information on Pleistocene human culture in Hokkaido (Sapporo, Mukabeza) is available, and detailed information on the content of the data is provided by researchers. This report is about the most ancient data in Hokkaido, and new knowledge and research topics are presented. 3. The most ancient data of the Japanese archipelago is related to the data of the gold relics in Iwate City.また、最新の発掘成果の存在も知りえた。The results, the basic data of the islands and the knowledge of the deep. 4. A comparative study of the data of the Japanese archipelago and the archaeological data of the Japanese archipelago is beginning. The above research helps to establish the system of ancient stone tools in the Japanese archipelago, and the research progress of the ancient stone tools in the human culture chronology is greatly improved.
