项目摘要

度重なる学習指導要領の改訂にも関わらず、現状で子どもたちの自ら考え表現する力が伸びているとは言い難い。ましてや他者とのコミュニケーション能力、学習意欲の低下は著しい。また新学習指導要領では歴史的分野も大幅な時間増で、中3でも学習することになった。そのためより効果的な現代史学習の方法が模索されている。以上のような課題に応える一つの方法として、祖父母など身近な人への聞き取り調査(=聴き取り調査)を軸に据えた調べ学習とレポート作成の指導実践例を提案し、その高い学習効果を証明したい。上記の研究目的を果たすために、まずは現状で小学校や中学校ではどの程度聞き取り調査を実施しているか、次にどのような形で行われているか(実施学年、実施教科・領域、発表形態)、聞き取り調査のメリット、デメリットなどについて、本校生徒(中2全、高3の2クラス)および近隣市区内の公立小学校(108校)を対象に、アンケート調査を実施した。そして実際の聞き取り調査を想定し、十分に事前学習を済ませ、冬季休業課題として、実際に聞き取り調査とレポート作成に取り組ませた。冬季休業明けに生徒の作成したレポートを見ると、単に聞き取りした内容をレポートしただけの聞き取り型のレポートはごく少数になり、聞き取り内容を編集・資料化した聞き書き型のレポート、さらに資料化された聞き書き内容にしたがって歴史叙述を行うオーラルヒストリー型のレポートが大多数を占めるようになった。これは学力的に中位・下位の者でも同様で、それは祖父母などから直接聞き取り調査をしたことで「できるだけ良いレポートにして残そう。」という強い気持ちに駆り立てられた結果と考えられる。それは生徒対象の事後アンケートや小学校対象のアンケートの結果にも現れている。今後は小学校や中学校で取り組まれている効果的な実践を調査し、多くの学校現場で聞き取り調査が実践されるよう、取り組みやすい実践モデルの開発に努めたい。
