项目摘要

1 研究目的ゲーム世代の生徒たちは,バーチャルな体験を好む傾向があり,実物の動物に触れることで命をとらえる体験が乏しくなっている状況である。そこで平成22年度科研費(課題番号22924001)により開発したウニの個別飼育教材「マイ・ウニ飼育」の学習により動物飼育における生命観の変容について調査しようと考えた。生命観を構成する生物観・生命観を測定するために北海道大学大学院鈴木誠らが開発した生命観測定尺度を活用して,飼育体験者の生命観の変容を調査し,個別継続飼育の効果を探ることを目的とした。2 研究方法アカウニを教材として人工授精から発生・変態観察・稚ウニ飼育の学習プログラムを進めてきた。継続飼育の事前・事後で生命観測定尺度で調査を行い,その平均値についてt検定を行った。また,観察後の感想についてテキストマイニングの手法で生命観測定尺度と並行して,個別飼育における意識の変化を考察した。今回の調査では,平成24年度2年生徒を対象にA校189名4回・B校127名4回・対照校126名2回実施した。3 研究成果学習プログラムを実施したA・B校について事前と事後の結果を比較したところ,4回目の調査結果において共通して生命観測定尺度における生命概念について「アニミズム」「生気論」「命」の項目で,その平均値に有意差が認められた。受精から飼育までの体験が生徒の生命観の下位概念について,特にA校では継続飼育後の1回と4回目の調査比較では,「アミニズム」「擬人化」「生気論」「命」の下位概念で平均値が上昇し事前調査の平均値に有意差(p<.01)が認められた。平均値から,継続飼育による生命観を構成する下位概念に変化が生じることがわかった。このことから命に関する情意面での変化が生じることがうかがえる。さらにテキストマイニングにより,稚ウニの観察後の生徒の感想テキストから関連語検索を行うと,「ウニ」と「とげ・管足・色」「動く・歩く・元気・成長」などが関連して高い確率で出現しており,個別継続飼育における観察は形態の変化や行動に意識が集中していったと考えられる。
