今年度は、近代七宝の釉薬について、製造技術的な観点から以下の4点の研究を実施した。①近代七宝釉薬の再現実験を行った。ワグネル(1831-1892)の京都舎密局での講義録をもとに、基礎となる透明釉薬の配合を決定した。基礎釉に対して3元素(Co・Cu・Mn)の着色材の配合を変えたテストピースを作製し、元素量と色調変化の関係を検討した。結果、2元素の混合でも着色材の割合が増加すれば黒色化し、基礎釉に対して10%を越えると釉表面が光沢を失い、15%以上では結晶が生じた。基礎釉の組成、冷却速度など考慮せねばならないが、着色材の含有量には一定の制限があることが明らかとなった。引き続き様々な配合で実験する予定である。②分光光度計による七宝釉薬の色調測定法の標準化に向けた研究を行った。しかし、七宝釉薬の外見は、色調以外に透明度や光沢度、下地色などへの考慮が必要で、分光光度計の測定では色調の測定は可能であったが、光沢感や透明感を含めた釉薬の外見を科学的に表示することは困難であった。今後、光沢計などを用いてさらなる検討を行い、測定法の確立を目指す。③近代七宝の製造技術について時期的変遷や陶磁器やガラスなどの異業種との関係性を考察するため文献調査を行った。特に釉薬の原料配合の記載の捜索とデータ入力を行なった。その中での一番の成果は、高松豊吉(1852-1937)が記した『ON JAPANESE PIGMENTS』中に1878年当時の並河七宝釉薬の科学分析に関する記載を発見したことである。記載の検討は今後の課題だが、初期の並河七宝の技術的水準をはかることができる重要なデータである。④近代七宝との比較として、江戸や長崎の近世遺跡から出土したガラスや色絵磁器の科学分析を実施した。以上の研究により、近代七宝業における釉薬製造技術について限定的だが基礎的なデータを得ることができた。今後も研究を継続し、七宝と陶磁器などとの技術的な関連性から近代七宝の特性を詳らかにしたい。

(3) A literature survey of the relationship between ceramic magnets and different businesses during the transition period of modern Qibao manufacturing technology. The search for raw material matching records of special glaze materials is carried out. The results of the work of the Chinese people are recorded in the book "ON JAPANESE PIGMENTS" by Toyoshi Takamatsu (1852-1937), which records the scientific analysis of the seven treasures of the Japanese people in 1878. (4) Scientific analysis of the magnetic objects unearthed in Nagasaki in modern times The above research is based on the modern seven industries and the limited manufacturing technology.
