研究の目的 1. オリンピックを題材とした体育理論や総合的な学習時間において, これまでの研究から得られた知見を導入し, さらにその教材開発にあたり, 授業内容を検証すること。2. アンケートやレポート, 生徒の感想, 授業の撮影記録などを分析し, 考案し実践してみた教材や授業の成果を明らかにし, 発信すること。研究の成果 第2学年生徒を対象とした保健体育科の授業では, ドーピングについて医薬品の利用から発展させて扱い, その後にフェアプレー, 古代オリンピック, パフォーマンスを支える科学という流れで展開した。第3学年生徒を対象とした総合的な学習の時間においては, 大きく4つに分けて取り組んだ。1)パラリンピック競技のブラインドサッカー学習では, 競技者の卓越性や他者理解について考えることができた。実際にゲームをしてみて, 生徒はその難しさやパラリンピアンの卓越性に感心し, 障がい者スポーツや障がい者について理解が深まったといえる。2)日本の体育・スポーツやその文化を調べ, 外国人に発信する機会であった国際交流では, スポーツは世界の人たちを結び付ける文化的な働きがあることや異文化の理解も深まり, 生徒や外国人から高い評価を得た。3)JISS(国立スポーツ科学センター)およびNTC(味の素ナショナルトレーニングセンター)の見学学習では, スポーツに関わる研究分野の幅広さや深さを学ぶことができて, スポーツへの関わりをこれまでと違ったところから見つめる機会となった。4)オリンピアンやそれを支えるトレーナーによる授業では, 自身の様々な体験を通して得たことを伝えたり, 生徒がトレーニングを体験したりすることを通して, オリンピックの価値である卓越・友情・尊敬について深く考える機会を持つことができた。これらの学習は, 生徒に宿るオリンピズムの醸成を加速させる機会であったといえる。
