项目摘要

野田神社所蔵資料と関連の資料の収集、並びにデータベース化を、昨年度に引き続き行った。その中で間狂言台本については、昨年度収集した鷺流系統の間狂言資料の翻刻・分析に加えて、地域的にも密接な関わりを持つ山口県立大学附属図書館所蔵の鷺流狂言資料(以下「山口県立大資料」と略す)の調査を行った。約30点の資料中、間狂言台本は『鷺流間集』など4種あり、一部野田神社所蔵資料と同じ所収曲を含む台本もあるが、全て一致するものはなかった。しかしこの約30点の資料の中で、筆跡が野田神社蔵間狂言台本と極めて近いと認められる資料が数点確認された。間狂言資料では『鷺流間集』と『鷺流語り間書抜』の2種だが、これらに署名はなかった。が、「春日荘作」の署名を持つ『狂言手附本二』(明治28年写)と、同じ「春日庄作」の署名のある『小舞仕方附』(明治28年写)の筆跡が共に近いことから、野田神社蔵間狂言台本は毛利藩の鷺流狂言師であった春日庄作の手によるものと考えられる。山口県立大資料には「野田神社奉納狂言」と題された台本も含まれ、その中に指導者として「春日庄作」の名前が記されている。野田神社所蔵資料中の番組にも同人の出演があり、野田神社と春日庄作の関係は認められる。以上のことから、野田神社蔵間狂言台本が春日庄作筆で、鷺流系統である可能性は高いと思われる。しかし内容的には、鷺流と記された山口県立大資料の4種の間狂言の台本間でも差異が見えることから、更に詳しい調査・分析が必要である(野田神社蔵間狂言台本も、大蔵流に一部近い所が見え、元は大蔵流であった春日家との関わりも考えられる)。間狂言台本全体の調査も進んでいないことから、収集した鷺流の間狂言台本を中心に作成したデータベースを活用して比較・検討を行い、各伝書の時代や地域性・伝承形態を今後明らかにしていく。
