今年度は本テーマにおける研究の2年目である。前年度の研究を承けて、研究者との討議、情報交換、データの作成をおこなった。研究成果は以下のとおりである。1 研究対象の絞り込み古代語助動詞を研究していく上で、助動詞相互の連結(相互承接)に関する基礎データが重要であるという前提に立ち、研究対象を具体化した。研究者との討議の結果を経て、いわゆる「モダリティの助動詞」を中心に相互承接の記述、整理をおこなうこととした。2 データの作成前年度『枕草子』を資料として試作データを作成したが、今年度はその成果をふまえて、言語量の多い『源氏物語』を資料として、「モダリティの助動詞」の相互承接を整理した。具体的には、「モダリティの助動詞」相互の承接関係、「テンス・アスベクトの助動詞」、「否定の助動詞」との承接関係の実態の調査、整理をおこなった。それぞれの承接を調査するにあたり、少数例、疑問例については、『源氏物語大成本文編』等により本文の異同を確認した。3 データの分析作成したデータに基づき、分析をおこなった。その結果、中古語の「モダリティの助動詞」は三類に分がれ、それぞれが述語の階層に対応していることが確認できた。また、データの作成過程を通して、コンピュータを用いたデータ作成の有効性を実証することができた。なお、本研究の成果は、学術雑誌およびインターネットで公開する予定である。
