项目摘要

本研究が目的としたのは、悪の問題を導きとして、ニヒリズム以後の宗教哲学の可能性を現代フランス思想の中に探究することである。この宗教哲学は、現代において哲学と宗教が共有せざるをえないと思われる自己審問からしか捉えられないものであるが、昨年度の研究では,言葉の問題がそのような自己審問への通路として確定された。今年度の研究はこの洞察の延長線上にあるものであるが、その成果は以下の二点に纏められる。第一の点は,最近のリクール哲学の新展開から、本研究にとって本質的な幾つかの洞察を取り出してきたことである。なかでも重要なのは、昨年出版された『記憶・歴史・忘却』で本格的に展開された「記憶」と「証言」に関する考察である。全てを説明し基礎づける哲学が挫折した後も、「行為し受苦する人間」として自己を問う主体はなお残っている。それが「自己の解釈学」を標榜する近年のリクールの基本的立場であり、そこから繰り出される思索は、悪の問題との連関で現代の宗教哲学を考究しようという本研究の発想源であった。記憶と証言に関するリクールの新たな考察は,上記の言葉の問題とも結びついて、言葉と「信」の繋がりの在処を探る上で多大な示唆を与えてくれた。第二の点は、本研究の問題に対して「フランス反省哲学」の伝統がもつ重要な意味を指摘しえたことである。本研究の関心にもっとも近い現代フランスの思想動向は、いわゆる「フランス現象学の神学的転回」であり、昨年度はレヴィナスやデリダの思索を手掛かりにこの動向の意味を問う研究も行った。しかし、そこで問われている諸問題は、フランス反省哲学の担い手を自任するラニョーやナペールの晦渋な思索を通して、別の光源から照射されうるものであると思われる。そのことを理解したことによって、本研究の問題への複層的なアプローチが可能になった。これは今後の研究の新展開に繋がる大きな成果であると言える。
