本年度は,裁判・紛争処理制度と職役・雑役賦課方法の二つの矛盾を解決することが,南宋-元代における日常的な地方行政の主要課題であり,この側面の改革過程から明初改革の歴史的性格をとらえるために,昨年度以来行なっている南宋-元代の地方行政・法制関係の史料収集・整理と分析を引き続き行なった。また,本研究の意義をより明確にするために,昨年度行なった宋代-明初期の社会史・法制史研究の成果の再検討に加え,中国専制国家の地方行政の基盤である郷村制度の性格,ならびに社会の特質について,日本中世・近世史や西欧中世・近世史との比較史的検討を行なった。なお,史料収集と分析を効率的に行なうために,中国前近代史基本史料のデータベースの構築・整備を行なった。これによって,個別史料の分析,北宋期までの文献史料の検索,北宋期以前との比較検討を容易に行なうことが可能となった。以上によって,明初における地方行政改革の歴史的性格を考察する条件を概ね整えることができたが,本年度は成果として,2000年度歴史学研究会大会中世史部会の報告のコメントを行ない,また第一回中国史学国際会議・宋元部会「社会と国家」において「郷村制の性格-理論的再検討-」を報告した(2001年度中に汲古書院から刊行される論文集に掲載予定)。これらは,あくまで成果の一端であり,明初改革の歴史的性格の議論については今後発表していく予定である。

According to the analysis of some historical materials, the historical materials of the Northern Song Dynasty are in line with each other, and it is easier to do so before the Northern Song Dynasty. In the early Ming Dynasty, in the early Ming Dynasty, the character of the history of local administrative reform was reviewed, and the conditions were briefly reviewed. This year's achievements were reviewed. In 2000, the General Conference of the historiography Society, the Department of Middle World History will report on the report. At the first International Conference on Chinese historiography, the Ministry of the Song and Yuan dynasties held a meeting of the Ministry of the Song and Yuan dynasties on the character of the village system-the re-examination of the theory-- the report and the report (the collection of essays was published in 2001). In the early Ming Dynasty, there was a discussion on the character of the history of reform in the early Ming Dynasty.
