项目摘要

近年,インターネット技術やワークステーション技術の発達に伴い,CSCW(Computer Supported Cooperative Work)の技術を教育の分野に応用したCSCL(Computer Supported Collaborative Learning)の研究が注目されている.ネットワークを介した協調学習環境においては,他者の行動や存在の認識が困難であり,個人学習から他者とのコラボレーションによる学習へとスムーズに移行するためには,他者の存在に気づくというアウェアネスの役割は重要である.そこで,我々は,アウェアネスを指向したオープンな協調学習環境Sharlokを試作している.我々は,他者の知識や存在に気づかせる,Knowledge Awareness(以下,KAと略す)という概念を新しく提案した.KAは,学習者の知的好奇心を刺激し,自発的な協調学習への導くきっかけとなる情報であり,Learner-centeredな学習環境を実現する上で,非常に重要な役割をもつ.本研究の目的は,我々が既に提案したKnowledge Awarenessの概念を拡張して,WWW上におけるアウェアネスを指向した知的開放型協調学習環境を研究開発することである.従来のSharlokは,教材データを独自に作る必要があり,誰でも簡単に利用できるものではなかった.また,KA情報は各学習者の理解状態や行動状態に関係なく提供されていた.そこで,平成11年度に開発したプロトタイプシステムの評価を行い、その結果を踏まえ考察を行い,システム全体を洗練化した.
