小学校体育授業における教師の個人レベルの指導論(信念)を明らかにするために,小学校教師10名を対象に,まず最初に,教師の実践的知識をイメージマップによって構造的に明らかにし,そのうえで,VTR中断法を用いて,事前に収録した体育授業実施場面(5授業)における教師の意思決定過程との関係から個人レベルの指導論を実証的に検討しようとした.その結果,以下のことが明らかになった.(1)対象教師に対して実施したイメージマップ・テストに描かれてある言葉を「教材内容に関する知識」「教授方法に関する知識」「子どもに関する知識」「教材内容と教授方法に関する知識」「教材内容と子どもに関する知識」「教授方法と子どもに関する知識」「教材内容と教授方法と子どもに関する知識」からなる7領域に分類した結果,10名の対象教諭はその経験年数によって,領域の知識量(言葉の数)が異なっていることが確認できた.つまり,経験年数の多い教師は「教材内容と教授方法に関する知識」「教材内容と子どもに関する知識」「教授方法と子どもに関する知識」「教材内容と教授方法と子どもに関する知識」といった各領域の重なる複合的な知識領域が本事例では多かった.(2)収録した体育実践の映像(教師用1台,子ども用3台の計4台のVTR及びワイヤレスマイクを用いて収録し,教師1画面,子ども3画面の計4画面が,それぞれに時間を同調させて同時に映っている映像)で意思決定過程を検討した結果,対象教師の個人レベルの指導論は,その教師の過去の経験(経験知)によって大きく左右されており,しかも,個人レベルの指導論によって,形成されている知識のウエイト(重要度)が異なり,それが実際の意思決定やその背景となる知識に影響を及ぼしていることが本事例では確認できた.
