本研究課題では、高松市民700名(有権者名簿から投票区を単位として二段階無作為抽出)を対象としたスノーボーリング調査を行い、情報化社会におけるネットワークと意見分布認知が人々のコミュニケーションに及ぼす影響について検討した。スノーボール調査は、調査対象者700名にそれぞれ3人までの「よく話す相手」をあげてもらい、その人に直接調査票を依頼してもらう形で行われた。回収サンプル数は主回答者334(回収率47.7%)第一他者265、第二他者241、第三他者225であり、小規模な調査ながらネットワーク単位での回収率は非常に高いものであった。この調査で得られた知見の一部を以下に紹介する。1) 調査回答者の約半数(44.6%)はインターネットの利用経験があるが、メディア接触と政治知識(新省庁の名称)との関連を調べたところ、新聞やテレビをよく見る人ほど政治知識が高いのに対し、webサイトの閲覧頻度は政治知識とあまり関連していなかった。またインターネットの利用では主に検索エンジンや趣味のページがよく利用されていることから、社会に関する情報源としてはマスメディアが現時点では相対的に優位であることによると考えられる。2) よく話す相手の支持政党や価値観がどの程度正確に推測されているか、主回答者と他者の回答を照合したところ、相手の政党支持を正確に認知している回答者は、支持政党が自民党(支持最大)の場合で約4割、民主党で1割%にしか満たなかったのに対し、夫婦別姓の法的認可への意見という争点になると、回答者のほぼ7割が正確に認知していた。政治的意見の推測は社会規範的な意見よりも難しいことがわかる。今後はこれらの結果を論文にまとめ、投稿する予定である。

This research topic includes 700 Takamatsu citizens (with a list of voters, a voting area, a single position, and a two-stage non-action extraction), and a survey of the distribution of opinions in the information society. 700 people were investigated, and three people were investigated directly. The number of respondents to the survey was 334(response rate 47.7%), the first other was 265, the second other was 241, and the third other was 225. The response rate of the small-scale survey was very high.
